If you have account in SBI Bank and you have submitted your Aadhaar details in your bank for linking, suppose after some day you want to verify whether or not your SBI account is successfully linked with correct Aadhaar number. You will be surprised to know that, you cannot verify it through online SBI (onlinesbi.com) (as on June 2017). If you open onlinesbi.com, nowhere you will find linked Aadhaar number details unlike other banks like ICICI Bank where you can see your Aadhaar number in your profile section.
So in this case, if you want to verify the correct linking of Aadhaar number with your SBI account you can do following.
- Go to your SBI Bank branch and ask to appropriate person, he or she will show you linked Aadhaar number in your bank account.
- If you want to check it without going to bank, you can do it by your mobile. Take that mobile in which that SIM card inserted, number of which is linked with your Aadhaar card. Now dial *99*99# using that sim card, on doing this, USSD code will run & message will come, press 1 and it will ask you to enter Aadhaar number, after that it will show the bank which is linked with that Aadhaar number with date of linking. So if your Aadhaar number is linked with your SBI account correctly, message will show that your Aadhaar number is linked with SBI. Remember that, you should not have linked another bank with same Aadhaar number after linking SBI account ( in that case message will show the latest linked bank name). So in this indirect way you can verify your Aadhar linking status with your SBI account.
