1. kareena kapoor (jab we met, omkara and chameli being her best performances in the recent past)
2. priyanka chopra (dostana, fashion and don being her best recent releases, apart from acclaim for drona and the sfx in her gatka sequences)
3. aishwarya rai (jodhaa akbar, guru)
4. rani mukherji ( she is in many ways like madhuri dixit, both went through downswings at the latter of their respective decades of peak, hopefully haddipa is going to be a hit. as for movies, laaga chunari mein daag and thoda pyar thoda magic has competent acting by rani and ta ra rum pum was a moderate success.)
5. preity zinta ( moving towards parallel cinema, her work in king lear was good and heaven on earth was average )
6. amrita rao ( my name is…was a mistake, welcome to sajjanpur saved her. needs better roles to move up the ladder )
7. katrina kaif ( a glamorous babe, acting and dialogue notwithstanding. good dance and jhatak matak but let’s see if ajab prem… and rajniti give her substance)
8. deepika padukone (clinging on to ranbir kapoor, she saved the day with bachna…but we also saw her in chandni chowk…no comments.)
