If you are graduate in any subject with minimum 55% marks with minimum 60% marks in 12th and your age is less than 30 year, you can apply now online for PROBATIONARY OFFICERS AND PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (RURAL BUSINESS ) IN STATE BANK OF INDIA ( SBI )

In case of POs (RURAL BUSINESS ) the selected officers will remain under Rural Business Group (RBG) for a minimum period of 10 years.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Written Examination

1. Objective test [Marks- 200] [time- 2 hour]

the Question will be consists of

  • English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.
  • General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation
  • Reasoning (High Level)

2. Subjective test [Marks- 50 ] [time- 1 hour]

The question will be consists of Test of English Language (Comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay)”

You all will have to give subjective paper, but your subjective paper will be checked only if you will clear the cutoff marks of  Objective test.

Group Discussion & Interview :

Once you qualify in written exam, you will be called for GD and interview, the marks will be as follow

  • For POs – Max Marks – 50. [GD - 20 Interview - 30]
  • For POs (RB) – Max Marks – 50. [GD - 10, Interview - 30, Experience - 10]

Final selection will be based on combing marks of both stage. Your second stage marks (GD and Interview) should be more than 40%  for final selection.

  • DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION : 11/04/2010 (SUNDAY) (11th April 2010)
  • General category candidates who have appeared on 4 occasions in the recruitment examination of POs for SBI are not eligible to apply.
  • Application Fee -Rs 500 for General category.
  • At present, initial monthly emoluments of Probationary Officers, including D.A., H.R.A. and C.C.A., are approximately Rs. 20,850/- at Metropolitan centers.

HOW TO APPLY:

Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of Fee (Rs 500 for general category), and get receipt from the branch, fee submission form is available at sbi branch. Keep the receipt carefully. The original receipt should be retained and produced at the time of written test.

      Hi Sir,

      it is said that “you will be given the subjective paper only when you clear the cutoff of objective test”. As there are 4 sections in the objective test, please let me know whether there will be sectional cutoffs?

      hello i know that but recently i bought a form in which mention you required 12+60% or grad +55%. so i get receipt from bank but when i apply online it say both r required 12 N graduation. what i do now can i get refund of my receipt.

      i had not made my cash deposit voucher and the last date for it is 28 feb 2010 but there is a holiday on 27 feb 2010 and on 28 feb it i sunday so plz suggest me what to do
      are there any branches which remain open on Sunday also
