Reason and solution of Laptop (Notebook) overheating and shutdown

Many time some laptop users find that their laptop (Notbook) gets heated and it get shutdown due to high temperature sensed by temperature sensor and it shutdown the laptop automatically for safety.

There are many reason for it, here are the reasons and solution for it.

1. Fan and exhaust ports may not working properly. If it is filled with dirt or moisture, it can cause overheating of laptop. Clean the fan and exhaust ports with compressed air to remove dust and crud out.  On some models you can set the fan to always on (in the BIOS)

2. Laptop Processor may not be fully compatible with motherboard or hard drive. Check Laptop Processor, if it is of cheap quality, it may run with producing too much heat. AMD processor is known for producing less heat.

3. Lots of Programs running simultaneously can cause too much load on  processor, check task manager, stop unwanted program, Don’t run bigger than required programs like powerful antivirus or firewall.

4. Virus can cause extra load on laptop processor. Scan your hard disk with latest antivirus.
