If any person will come to your home for Census 2010-2011 record, same people will collect data for your upcoming Unique Identity card (UID card).

UID card will be similar to PAN card , passport ( or USA Social security number). It is used for various purpose like opening bank account, getting driving license, getting votor ID card or getting  jobs etc. This card will be issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)

The same UID card will be used for tracking criminal record for any person.

The first data for unique Identity card (UID card) will be collected with the Census 2011data. If you miss to give data for UID to the people who will come to your home for Census, it will be very difficult for you to get UID at later stage.

Once you give data for UID, other data like photo, biometric data etc will be collected on year 2011.
