If you have any enquiry regarding indian railway,you can get information about any train or PNR status from your home through toll free number 139.
Indian Railways department has launched a new phone number for Inquiry, which is a completely free service and works all over India including small villages and towns. You just need to call “139” from your BSNL landlines, MTNL landlines, Dolphin, Garuda, Idea, Spice Telecom and Vodaphone telecom operator enabled phones.

I wonder why people act so dumb asking queries on comments. This is about free railway service and if you want to know if a train goes somewhere pick up the phone and ask them than wasting your time as well as others.

I have booked a ticket for my wife and my baby daughter last 10-03-2010, from New Delhi to Sealdah in train #2314 ( Sealdah Rajdhani)for the dated 23/05/2010. Today morning we realise that we have lost the same . I have no PNR number.
Please advise me what I have to do to get the same .

i have booked ticket from rourkela to lucknow in 3AC via tata for 28/04/2010.The train from rourkela to tata is late by 3hrs & 48mts(3287).If i will catch this train then next connecting train will not be caught.
Can i use the same ticket in other train no.8478 utkal exp. for travelling from rourkela to tata or if not then tell me the way for cancellation.

My father has reserved a tatkal ticket.but the problem is that he has reserved the ticket from west bengal & i stay in hyderabad.so he has sent me a fax of that paper ticket.i don’t have any other option to get my ticket as there is a weak day in between so he could not send it via post.
so can i make the journey with that faxed copy of the paper ticket..i have my valid id card (driving license).so with that id proof will that faxed copy will work as a valid ticket for my journey.please reply me.

I booked tkt from Vadodara to Calicut by Dehradun Kochuveli Exp. Now instead of getting down at Calicut, I want to extend the journey upto Kollam and get down at Kollam (which is 400 kms away from Calicut). Pls let me know whether the TTE in train will extend the ticket by paying the cost difference or I have to take another tkt from Calicut to Kollam.
