IIT JEE OBC Quota Reservation Information
Now it is clear that there is reservation of 27% seats for OBC candidates at IITs. General category candidates of IIT JEE should not worry about seat reduction for general category. There will be no reduction in seat for general category.
The extra seat will be created at each IITs to meat 27% OBC reservation requirement. There will be meeting of IITs Directors today to discuses how to implement the reservation.
Today “There are several issues to be discussed. But the main issue is to chalk out a strategy to implement the OBC reservation,” IIT Delhi Director Prof Surendra Prasad said.
Total number of seat of IIT JEE may be 5000 this year. Previous year it was around 4000 seats. Nearly 3.2 lakh students appeared in the IIT entrance test on April 13. The results would be announced in the last week of May after which counseling for admissions would start. There is possibilities that some new IITs will be introduced in this year

Resonance Online Test Series for IIT – JEE 2010.
This is to inform you that we are launching a full-fledged IIT-JEE 2010 Online Test Series.
The Schedule of the IIT-JEE Online Test Series will be same as that of Online Version of DLC’s AITS, that is,
the First 2 Tests PT-3 & CT-3 under AITS will also be available for new registered students.
To be more precise, this Test Series is carved out of existing AITS except that the student will not get Postal Tests as they get in AITS.
The Test Series will be available at http://jee.resonance.ac.in
Features of the IIT-JEE 2010 Online Test Series:
1. Set of 10 Online Tests, including 1 OT, 2 MTs & 3 JPTs
2. Facility to download above Tests as well, if somebody is not willing to appear in the online test.
3. Facility to download solutions & answer keys.
4. Students joining this Test Series will be able to evaluate themselves with our DLC & YCCP students.
Registration:
It will be done in a similar fashion as done for other DLC products, that is, either Online or Offline
Fee Structure:
Fee – Rs. 2206/- ( Each Online Test @ Rs 200/-) – Taxes included.
** Here we can also encourage the students to join Resonance’s Online Testing Lab (fee can be kept as Rs 100/- per Test).
I want to re-stress on the following points in order to remove any doubt:
1. Next Online Test will be held on 3rd Jan’10 (PT-4) same as AITS Schedule
2. Syllabus of the Test Series will be same as AITS Syllabus
3. Though the dates for PT-3 & CT-3 have gone but these tests will still be available to new registered students.
4. AITS is a combination of Postal & Online Tests but this IIT-JEE Online Test Series will only have Online Tests (besides the option to download these tests).
Please feel free to contact me for any clarification/issue.
