If you are one of the employee of Infosys, TCS or Wipro, you should not get worried about the recent rumors of Infosys firing or TCS firing after 24000 HP job firing news came. These are all actually related to google search result as suggested by here.
TCS and Infosys are hiring more and firing less. This companies are already struggling with large number of resignations. But it is sure that, in near future they will definitely slow the recruitment.

if you say these are all rumours … then think again before saying it. I am one of the victims of one of the second largest software companies in India. They have the most opaque system and processes on the name of transparency. Its most unetical on the name of ethics. They do all the wrong stuff on the name of right doings and have earned a wrong name for themselves in the Indian society. Untill and unless you jump in the pool you dont realise how cold the water is, the same holds true for India’s 2nd largest software services company. I am glad that I cut ties with such a company.
I am also one of the victims. Infosys is doing all wrong things just to show to the world that everything is fine. They are laying off employees by forcing them to resign citing performance reasons. However this is not reflected as layoff because the employees are forced to resign.
Ya, it is true that infy is forcing people to resign. One of my batch is out on 2nd april. it is very sad they way they have sent him out. other way round they say that they are not firing anyone but hiring 18000 more. i don’t how much more flase branding they want to do.
Absolutely true. Am also one of the victims. They are laying off employees by forcing them to resign citing performance reasons. Performance are rated based on CRR (infosys internal rating system which is solely based on internal politics).
Everybody who did not perform well were ought to get fired.
5% of the people in Infosys are rated as CRR 4.
They were ought to get out. I believe this is the time to clean up the mess and make Infosys as the quality organization as it was a few years back

Infosys is the most Hypocrytic company.They say something and do something. I am one of the victims of their so called firing of Non Performers.I was promised a project in written E Mail from the management but suddenly i was bullied to Quit.Had i resisted to resign i would have been terminated. CRR 4 which is an Internal rating is based purely on Politics and Connections with your managers. I have witnessed myself how managers give preference to some people without looking at the Skill Level.Managers have saved their favourites from getting Axed.It is all Politics,Networking and Connections in Infosys .That is the way to get a Project ,Promotion and incentives.
Infosys is Powered by Politics and Driven by Bullies.They dont care for their Employees.They are White Collar Gundas……….The bad thing is that Publicize a lot about their values and Ethics .This hurts coz during firing nothing is Transparent .everything is Opaque…..

Yes, Infosys fired people. They had poor performance scores and they were not qualified to work on projects. Why are we paying people who have nothing to contribute? I work here and have always been crr 1. If someone doesn’t meet our standards, then they need to be dumped. This isn’t a charity. I hate that the whole world economy has gone to hell, but it’s a good time to re-evaluate ourselves. If you’re at best average at your job, then find a new one where you fit in. We don’t get anywhere by being maintenance people.

How come a non performer have 100 utilization.
I had a clash with my PM recently before the appraisal and he has done the worst to me.As per Infosys policy the non performers would be put on a 3 month monitoring process. Where did the process go. When they say we are non performers why is the process done in a discreet manner Everything happened in just half an hour.I got a mail from the DM at 4:30 for a meeting at 5.00 pm and by 5 30 i was out of the gate.I was escorted till the gate by a guy. They did not allow me to even go to my desk seperately. Such a worst behaviour.

CRR1 does not mean that you are safe.I know of folks who hava been all through CRR1 and sent home packing.I guess you can call it “Oh it wont happen to me syndrome”…You never know.

You say CRR 4 people are all poor performers.Just hold your horses before saying that. I know my friend who had client appreciation and still got CRR4 and was sent out. That too he relocated with his family for project. It is a fact that CRR is given based on your relations with your manager. One conflict and your hard work goes down thedrain.
I’m a victim of TCS firing. They are saking people just like that. Every project in TCS is like a parliament. We need to play politics to survive. Frankly telling this political play is to fire people out. Every manager & HR are getting more rating in their appraisal time if they fired out enough people.

guys, even i was forced to resign from Infosys. i just got my service certificate. i have not got my relieving letter. Infy guys , who faced similar situation ; let me know how you coping in this situation. Have you found a workaround. It seems without a relieving letter, none of the other firms are interested to recruit me.
Guys,myself an ex-infoscion now was shown the door on jan 5,2009. My PM had a crush on my girlfriend who is still in infosys and i got fired inspite of 100% utilisation rate. I was able to find another job only after 6 months. meanwhile my old PM has married my now ex-girlfirend and ruined my life.
