Best Career Option After BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
Getting admission for BCA course is too easy, but the job availability is too less for only BCA pass out. BCA degree is of no importance today. The best option after BCA is to get admission in MCA course. MCA course can be applied by other people also like B.Sc. Pass out.
Job opportunity in call center for BCA pass out is higher, but in call center 10+2 pass out can also apply for the same post.
There is no way any IT company will going to higher BCA pass out (with no other qualification) .
So if BCA pass out is interested in IT or software field, they have to have join MCA course in reputed university. MCA degree is equivalent to B.E from computer science from hiring point of view for most of IT companies.
other wise they can prepare for MBA or UPSC.

from my point of view bca is not sufficient for a god job in today’s market.
u can do java and other short term course for getting a good job.
and side by side by correspondence u can do mca,mba
whatever.

I m palak. M doing BCA in Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda rightnow.. I would like to tell u that a person should prefer the course in which they have interest. According to me after BCA, MCA and MBA are the best courses. If you have a confusion to choose whether to do MCA or MBA then you should search the subjects which is in MBA and MCA then after getting the basic overview of that you can select the option according to in which you are interesting. I think it is enough advise from my side..

Why all of you are so worried about ‘BCA’ and why everybody wants to do a job? Why don’t you think about starting your own software firm? If you have talent then you can do with your classmate. I don’t think that you must do MCA or MBA after your BCA.

yea well i just graduated from MS University of Baroda..
there are soooo sooo many career options for me….i have a choice of giving many exams as per my needs..for eg. i’m giving d exam for Dhirubhai Ambani Institute for Msc. IT..it is one of the premiere courses available..den i’m givin GCET(gujarat CET) for MCA and MBA..i can do a PGDCA from MSU…also many part time courses are available around..!! career options are unlimited after u do ur BCA from a reputed university as BCA..!!
den if i wanna go abroad, i have d choice of doin PGDCA and den will be eligible for any MS(Master of Science) in Computers..dat needs 12+3+1(so PGDCA)..
and hey for those who just passed 12th, admission forms for BCA at MSU are out now..u’ll have d experience of ur life here..best faculties, best students, one of the largest universities, biggest library of Asia and u’ll have hell lot of fun studying and roaming around in the city of Baroda…don’t miss d opportunity…d entrance test will be conducted sooon i guess in the 1st or 2nd week of june…
and one more thing, if any of ur friends is also interested in doing BCA from MSU, then take the admission forms together..tht ways u’ll get to sit wid ur pal in the entrance and den all is upto u two, crack the entrance, its quite easy, but the competition is quite tough…

and hey for those seeking jobs after BCA, wat i’ve personally experienced is that u won’t get a job more than a few thousand bucks after BCA..get a masters..!! get experience..!! after MCA or MBA or any other masters, u are sure to end up with high payin jobs..
and richa, u can go for MHRM after BCA..that is a nice field..u’ll get a lot of practical experience..u’ll be able to deal with the smallest member of the community to even the chairman of the largest company in the world after doing MHRM..if u do well, ur scopes are quite high for getting good job..!!

well i hav applied for a bca degree seat in bhavans…and turns out bca is not a bad career option…instead it’ll help u gain more exposure towards ur goal….all i say is dont do anythng dat ur mind says…work wid ur heart and soul….and a job for bca graduate will definetly be thr!!!!!!!!!!!!and campus recritments are alwayz thr for bca degree colleges or colleges dat offer d course…..even if u screwed ur inter or puc or plus two….u hav ample time to rectify ur mistake and plz dont say yes to any relationship like luv if u wanna have a gud career…..dats wat i hav learnt!!!!!!
