Are you Joining Indian IT Company ?

December 1, 2009

No matter which Indian IT company you join, the following things are gonna happen.

1.  No matter what happens, the work hours will be more. It seems we Indians never understand that the productivity of an individual is not more than 6 hours a day max.

2.  As an employee, your life aim should be to make the owners of the company billionaires at any cost.

3. The company will expect maximum loyalty, ethics, etc etc from you with nothing but peanuts in return!

4.  The company *will* treat you only as resource and not as an employee.

5.  The clients will give you the following impression – ‘We don’t like you, but since you are cheap and will work like monkeys for the peanuts we give, we are ready to tolerate you’

6.  Money will be above any ethics.

7. Manager to team member relation is like – Master to slave.

Yes,I totally agree with giridhar these are truths from which every job seeker belonging from I.T. department have to survive. The company says that it will only want you to give 8 hours to them but when they give you the work/project it’s just like impossible to complete it in 6-8 hours, and you have to have work almost whole day.
You are not an employee for them instead you are what we call in hindi is “Turoop Ka Ikka” for them isn’t it?

I often wonder with the growth of Internet users around the world why more people are reluctant to consider a business of their own. Even with full time employment, the Internet, automation, and basic skills can produce a favorable long-term result.

Great article and I look forward to reading more as I just discovered your Blog.

      8. Your boss (or for God sake say management) expects you to do things that the world never did before.
(After all, if such a thing comes to mind, saala we wont work with them anymore :-)
Yes this bloody shit industry is based on the well known saying USE AND THROW. Damn, people here are kind of dogs searching gor bones whichever company gives more CTC, they go with them.)
