6th pay commission recommendations is almost ready to submit
The 6th pay commission term will end on 4th April 2008. The commission will need to submit its report before the end of term. It is expected that they have almost completed the 6th pay commission recommendations. The pay revision will benefit immediately more than 31,00,000 central government employee and defense personals
In a report Central government employee census is as follows.

There is a possibilities that the major hike in salery will be given to “Group A” category (Most probably) because this group in only 2.36 % of total strength of central government employee. So government will need to spend less money if they hike the salary of group A employee more compare to other group. There is high mismatch between salary of group A employee in government and similar level employee of private sector.
Defense personal may expect more hike in their salary as Government will try to attract best talents of india in defense particularly in Indian Air Force.
The salary hike of government employee will have positive impact on Indian economy, because it will give more disposable income to lots of people, it will improve economic activities.
There is also need to change the rule to revise pay scale in 10 year time period. This is a very long period. Pay revision time should be limited to maximum 3 year.

There was a rumor to special pay for scientist. Wait for final outcome to know exactly.
PERIOD OF 6TH PAY REVISION STARTS FROM 1ST JAN. 2006.WHAT ABOUT THE GRATUITY FOR THOSE WHO HAS RETIRED BETWEEN THE DT.1ST JAN. 2006 TO 31ST AUGUST 2008.CAN THEY GET REVISED GRATUITY .?
