This is really true, in future, if you will want to get the cheapest laptop in India, you will need to spend only around 500 Rs.

IIT chennai and IISc Bagalore are working hard to make it real. As you know that mobile phone is now available in India at as low as 800 Rs cost. 12 year ago nobody was expected that cost of mobile phone would fall that much. Similar things are going to happen for laptops.

It will be a huge benefit for people of remote villages. In future it is expected that students will learn most of study material by using internet.
